Cheryl is a professional development leader, trainer, and content creator. Her passion is empowering practice leaders and teams to achieve goals, improve performance, and enjoy their work. She brings 25 years of practice management consulting, training, healthcare technology leadership, and content development to her projects.
Known for her optimistic and upbeat style, Cheryl has delivered workshops, online classes, digital learning, and keynotes to thousands of physicians, managers, and health system associates. She is a co-host of the American Association for Physician Leadership’s SoundPractice podcast, and host of the podcast and video series, MedAxiom HeartTalk. Whether live, on camera, or behind the mic, Cheryl’s interactive and pragmatic approach fuses storytelling and humor with practical ideas and actionable tools.
Previously, Cheryl held senior consulting and director roles at KarenZupko & Associates, Inc. and was VP, Product & Operations for HealthLoop, where she launched the cloud-based platform's beta program and initiated company operations. She also held the role of VP, Digital & Social Media for iConecto, where she oversaw the operational support team for the AscensionHealthExchange knowledge management portal for Ascension Health.
Cheryl has a BS, Music from Western Michigan University and an MBA, Finance from Loyola University Chicago. She received coaching training from Erickson College. A distance runner and life-long learner, Cheryl enjoys visual and performing arts, loves to travel, and aspires to speak Spanish fluently.
